Growing: Harvest 2023 – Complete!

Once the sun decided to shine for a couple of days, harvest was quickly finished in late August with two combines working through the fields much to the delight of the smallest team members!

Tom immediately drilled cover crops onto the fields that will have spring barley, so that they’ll overwinter green with different plants playing a different role in regenerating the soil. He’ll then be back out later this month (October) drilling the remaining fields with winter barley and winter wheat.
