As we prepare for our 2024 Yorkshire Day release, let’s take a moment to reminisce about Filey Bay Yorkshire Day Special Release 2023.

Our Whisky Director Joe carefully selected ex-Bourbon and ex-Madeira casks from the warehouse and it was the first time for us sharing our Madeira matured whisky in the UK. Following on from previous Yorkshire Day releases, this was a distillery exclusive of just 1500 bottles which could only be found on shelves at our distillery here in Hunmanby.

The tasting experience was characterised by its fruity and honeyed notes, think Crunchie bars, Jamaican cake, and stone fruits. Delicious!

**Filey Bay in Sweden**

As David ventures through Germany, our Whisky Director, Joe, is currently in Sweden showcasing Filey Bay whisky at the Gothenburg Beer & Whisky Fair!

This two-day event is expecting a crowd of 22,000 attendees and will host specialists from all over the world, including microbreweries, breweries, whisky distilleries, whisky and beer importers and brewmasters.

**Filey Bay in Germany**

David heads back to Germany this weekend to the Kempen Whiskey Conference for a special masterclass tasting, again supported by our German distributor @schlumbergersegnitz.

Joining a selection of 'whisky makers' under the category “Old Traditions vs. New World Whiskey” David will be diving deep into what constitutes traditional whisky production and how has it developed over the years.

The fun doesn't stop there, next week Filey Bay whisky will be at the prestigious whisky fair in Limburg which is one the largest whisky events of its kind. Update to follow.

Filey Bay Peated Finish Batch #3

First released in 2021, Batch #1 of this special single malt was our fastest selling finished whisky ever and Batch #2 won a highly coveted World Whisky Master.

Primarily matured in first-fill bourbon casks laid down in the spring and summer of 2018 before a secondary maturation in peated casks tying together the Yorkshire coast with the West coast of Scotland.

Our Peated Finish is all about balance; soft and sweet with a gentle twist of smoke making this Filey Bay release perfect for any whisky fan whatever their preference.
