Filey Bay Regenerative Editions
Nurture
We believe that how we farm shapes the whisky we create. Introducing Filey Bay 'Nurture' the first of our Regenerative Editions, whiskies that tell the deeper story of how and why we farm for whisky the way we do.
It’s about our roots as Yorkshire farmers since 1945, our experience brewing since 2003, and our passion for distilling since 2016. Few distilleries around the world can bring all of that together, from field to bottle.
Filey Bay ‘Nurture’ is exclusive to Waitrose, rolling out at 197 Waitrose stores nationwide this week, as well as online from today at www.waitrose.com.
*If you’re travelling a long way, we’d advise calling in advance to check it’s there. Please note, this whisky is not available from our distillery.
Soft, fruity
Down to Earth
The tasting notes say Light, fruity and down-to-earth, but don’t worry… the soil stays on the land, not in the glass.
By marrying ex-Bourbon matured whisky, with whisky matured in ex-Red wine casks (that have been shaved, toasted and recharred to temper the tannins), we’ve created a delicious whisky to be enjoyed outside, inside and all year round, with malty and biscuit flavours alongside soft vanilla ice cream and ripe red fruits,
Tasting notes: Malt and biscuit notes form a structured creamy sweetness and red fruits like Campagnolo strawberry and cream sweets and vanilla ice cream.
70cl | 46.5%vol | Natural Colour Non-Chill Filtered
More than just grain to glass.
Truly, traceably, field to bottle.
Truly, traceably, from field to bottle with 100% homegrown regeneratively farmed barley and farm-sourced water.
We're in control of every step of the production process. Malted within 10 miles of the farm, and distilled by hand using our unique still configuration. Matured in ex-bourbon casks from Kentucky, and ex-Red Wine cakes sourced from Spain.

Farming for Whisky
We’re passionate about nurturing the health of our soil through biodiversity, protecting our climate and water resources, minimising soil disturbance, and maintaining the land for future generations. To find out more about why we farm for whisky the way we do, visit the farm section on our website.
“Farming is about achieving a balance. If we take out more than we put back in, future generations will pay the price.”
