Each adult ticket includes...
Access to all of the events and tastings on the day.
A distillery tour.
A Spirit of Yorkshire nosing glass.
One drink token per adult to redeem at our bar.
Here’s what’s happening...
10-4pm: The Discovery Tour - Discover the sights, sounds and smells of a working distillery. Witness live whisky production, taste our new make spirit and see how we are making Yorkshire’s first single malt whisky, from field to bottle. (On the hour every hour)
10-4pm: The Cask is King Workshop - Without amazing casks you can’t make amazing whisky, and we’re going to show you why. Learn about the ancient art of coopering, taste some unique cask samples and try your hand at identifying cask types and flavour profiles. The cask samples you will taste here are completely unique and will only be around for one day. (On the hour every hour)
10-4pm: The Distillery Projects Tasting - Our Distillery Projects series kicked off in December 2016 and was born purely out of the demand from our visitors wanting to take our young spirit home with them. The range showcases some of our finest Maturing Malt spirit and covers a wide spectrum of flavour. Here you will taste our latest bottling launching on the day and learn how to nose and taste like a pro. (On the hour every hour)
12-2pm - Traditional Horse & Dray display - In its ‘hay’-day the Horse & Dray was crucial to the beer industry, making sure there was a steady and consistent flow of beer from the breweries to the taps in the public houses. Like the Eddie Stobbart or UPS trucks of the late 18th century. *Disclaimer, the ‘Dr. Dre’ will not be in appearance but you will meet two of the counties last working shire horses.
10-6.30pm - Wold Top Brewery Bar - A selection of our sister companies finest will be flowing all day to keep you refreshed. We will also have an exciting exclusive beer available only for our Open Day. Soft drinks and chilled wine will also be available.
12-6pm - Spirit of Yorkshire BBQ - The great British BBQ is a thing of beauty and few can BBQ better than our friends from Trotters farm. What these chaps don’t know about tasty BBQ isn’t worth knowing. Keep an eye out for our Spirit of Yorkshire - Maturing Malt sauce and sausages!
4.30pm - Comp Winners Announced - We have a series of comps running throughout the day, with some epic prizes. All free to enter and announced from the stage.
4.45-5pm - Directors Cask tasting from the stage - A chance to taste some truly special spirit from one of our tastiest casks with our Founder and Director David Thompson.
5-7pm - The Alastair James Band - Alastair James and his band will be bringing the day to a close, playing a mix of original songs, and an exciting mix of acoustic blues, jazz, soul and reggae.
Our open day is a ticketed event with prices starting from £7.50 pp (£10pp if paying on the door).
