All entries must be submitted via www.spiritofyorkshire.com
The opening date for entries is 1:00am on 1st November 2017. The closing date of the prize draw is 1:00am on 1st Nov 2019. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
A winner will be chosen by random draw supervised by an independent person on 15th November 2019 ("Draw Date"). The draw will take place at the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery and all entrants are hereby invited to attend.
The winner will receive:
the first bottle of single malt whisky produced by the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery; and
(subject to clause 9) a three night stay for up to 4 people (including the winner) on an accommodation only basis at Stratton House, a self-catering holiday cottage in Yorkshire. The date of the three night stay will be arranged by mutual agreement between the winner and the Promoter to coincide with the first bottle of single malt whisky being ready for collection from the distillery.
If the winner is not in attendance at the distillery on the Draw Date, the winner will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided at entry) before 22nd November 2019 and must provide a postal address to claim their prize. If the winner does not respond to the Promoter within days of being notified by the Promoter, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
The winner acknowledges and accepts that the process of distilling whisky means that the exact date that the first bottle of single malt whisky will be available is unknown. However, the Promoter anticipates that it will be around 1st August 2019. The purpose of the three-night stay is to enable the winner to collect the bottle of whisky from the distillery and participate in PR activities. A visit to the distillery must therefore be arranged for a mutually convenient time during that stay. If the winner does not wish to attend the distillery to collect the bottle of whisky, the three night stay element of the prize shall be forfeited and the bottle shall be sent to the winner by post or courier as soon as reasonably possible from the time that it is ready.
The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize (or any part of it) with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so.
The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
The winner's name and county can be obtained by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org within 14 of days after the Draw Date.
Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
