Open Weekend 2025
We're delighted to invite you back to the distillery for our annual Distillery Open Weekend, taking place on Saturday 26th July and Sunday 27th July. This year, we’re offering you the option to attend on either day (or both).
We've been working hard behind the scenes to give you the best experience, with more distillery tours, engaging talks, live music performances, masterclasses and tasty food options than ever before.
First access! For the first time ever, not only are we launching Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2025, but we’ll also have two special Filey Bay Single Cask bottlings available too. Bottle numbers are very limited and they'll be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a small allocation held back for both Saturday and Sunday attendees.

Masterclasses
We've been working hard to bring you three fantastic masterclasses this year. Tickets and info on each class can be found below. Please remember that you must have an Open Weekend ticket to book onto a masterclass.
Masterclass
Welcome to Filey Bay
New to whisky or just starting your journey with Filey Bay? Join us for ‘Welcome to Filey Bay’ an exclusive masterclass designed to introduce you to the world of single malt through the lens of Yorkshire’s first whisky distillery. Led by Brand Ambassador, Amy Teasdale. This hour long Masterclass will be in a separate marquee and tickets must be booked via the link below.

Independent Bottlers
In this special masterclass, we’ll be pouring a selection of extremely rare single casks. A selection of casks that have been selected and bottled by some of the best Independent Bottlers in the whisky industry. Each dram tells a story of collaboration, creativity, and the journey of our whisky in other hands. This hour long Masterclass will be in a separate marquee and tickets must be booked via the link below.

Editions
Join us on the mainstage for a free, in-depth look at Filey Bay Heritage, created for English Heritage, and Filey Bay Nurture, our Regenerative Edition exclusive to Waitrose. This masterclass goes beyond the dram, it’s about the values and stories behind the whisky. From preserving our past to protecting our future, you’ll hear how these Editions came to be, the inspiration behind their creation, and what makes them stand out within the Filey Bay range. No ticket required, just turn up, take a seat, and enjoy.
Special Release
Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2025
The star of the show... Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2025, our annual Special Release, will be ready and launching on the day. For the first time ever, we’ll also have two special Filey Bay Single Cask bottlings available too. Bottle numbers are very limited and they'll be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a small allocation held back for both Saturday and Sunday attendees.

The Marquee
Home to the bar and the stage, the main marquee will be the hub of the day. Full of live music, "conversations with" and possibly a couple of tastings too.
Rolling
Tours
Every thirty minutes, Tours will head around the distillery, showcasing the hows, whys and whats of Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery and Filey Bay Whisky. These are free for everyone (though no under 6s we're afraid).
Local
Producers & Craftspeople
Alongside the Masterclass, local producers will be at the distillery, sharing their stories and offering samples, as well as selling produce & products for you to take home.
Food &
Drink
We'll have lunch for sale on-site and, of course, the Wold Top Brewery van serving a range of beers (including the delicious low alcohol 'Intuition'). The Pot Still Coffee Shop will be open for coffee, tea and cake, and there'll be plenty of whisky to enjoy.
Important to
Note
Dogs: whilst we love Dogs, this year we'll be operating a no-dogs policy (other than assistance and support dogs) on the distillery site, both inside and outside.
Children: Children are very welcome to our Open Days and we love inspiring the next generation of farmers, distillers and fans! However we regret that under-6s cannot come on the tour inside the still house. This includes babes-in-arms.
