Tours

Q. Do I have to pre-book a distillery tour?

A. To avoid disappointment we ask that you book a tour in advance either via our website or by telephoning our distillery team on 01723 891758. Spaces and tours are limited and we cannot guarantee walk-in visitors will be able to book on arrival.

Q. How long does a distillery tour last?

A. A distillery tour will take approximately 1 hour.

Q. I don’t have a printer to print my ticket confirmation, what shall I do?

A. Don’t panic, so long as you have a note of your confirmation number either in an email on your phone or just written down, you will be fine.

Q. I am disabled, can I participate in a tour?

A. We welcome all visitors to participate in a tour and do our very best to accommodate everyone, no matter their accessibility needs. However because we are a working distillery, we regret that there are some parts of the tour that are not fully accessible. If you have any concerns, please contact our distillery team on 01723 891758 before you book. There is full disabled access to the Pot Still Coffee Shop, Restrooms and lots of on-site parking. For an impartial review, please visit the Distillery's page on Euan's Guide.

Q. I have booked a tour but can no longer make it on that day or at that time, can I change it or get a refund?

A. Please contact our distillery team on 01723 891758 at your earliest convenience if you can no longer attend the tour you have booked. We are open 7 days a week between 09.00 hours and 17.00 hours. We will make every effort to re-arrange the tour you have booked to a more convenient time, however, unfortunately, tour tickets are non-refundable.

Q. Do I need to bring an ID to a tour?

A. Here at Spirit Of Yorkshire distillery we operate a strict “challenge 25” policy. If you are lucky enough to look under the age of 25 we reserve the right to ask for proof of age upon arrival. Accepted forms of identification include a passport and driver’s license. If you do not have either of these forms please refer to the Challenge 25 website.

Q. Can I take photographs during the tour?

A. To abide by health and safety regulations we ask all visitors to switch all electronic devices off and to not take photographs. Photographs can only be taken from the viewing windows which are upstairs in the Pot Still Coffee Shop.

Q. I have a party of 10 or more wanting to participate in a tour, what is the best way to book?

A. If you are a large group of people (normally 6 or more) interested in booking a tour, please call our team directly on: 01723 891758.

Q. What do you recommend as appropriate footwear?

A. When booking a tour, we advise all of our visitors to wear flat shoes to the distillery. Some parts of the distillery have mezzanine stairs which are not suitable for heels.
