We have teamed up with Birds on the Loose - two madcap cooks game for anything on the Yorkshire food scene to create an exciting pop up event at the distillery on Thursday 19th April 2018 and Thursday 11th October 2018.
Birds on the Loose will bring you a whisky-inspired three course meal in our beautiful setting of the Pot Still Coffee Shop at the distillery, with our Maturing Malt spirit taking centre stage.
The menu features the great food from Yorkshire with what will be Yorkshire's first single malt whisky. Each of the three courses will exude locally sourced ingredients that sit alongside the maturing malt made with barley grown less than five miles away and malted at Flamborough. The wash from which the spirit is created, is brewed by Wold Top with water from the farm where the barley was grown. This is something that's very rare indeed.
The same dedication to locally sourced seasonal ingredients is the Birds on the Loose hallmark. Indeed, Sue's record sits at ingredients from 31 Yorkshire suppliers served in the course of a single pop-up dinner menu. Birds on the Loose partner Gilly excels with the rich tapestry of the Yorkshire larder ensuring that her passion is shared with her pupils and guests alike.
Now it’s your chance to enjoy a fun evening where these game Birds on the Loose will showcase their skills, with each of the three courses served in the distillery’s Pot Still Café overlooking the beautiful copper pot stills where Yorkshire’s first ever malt whisky is being made.
Tickets are £30 per person and places must be booked in advance.
