Open Weekend Cask Owners 2025
We're extremely excited to welcome you back to the distillery for our annual Open Weekend. This year we're doing things a little differently. Cask Owners will have the option of joining us on Saturday 26th July or Sunday 27th July 2025, with early entry and a dedicated Cask Owner masterclass.
We've been busy planning two exciting days including pairings, local producers, delicious food and fantastic live music. There'll be tours throughout the day as well as the launch of our summer Special Release, Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2025, and an extra special bottling too...
Cask Samples are available to request on the RSVP form. If you can't make Open Weekend then don't worry, just leave those options at 0 and add your cask samples and cask number in the relevant section. Any questions, give us a call on 01723 891758.
Cask Owner Open Weekend 2025
Each ticket includes…
Exclusive Cask Owner access to the distillery, between 11am-1pm, on Saturday or Sunday.
Exclusive Cask Owner dedicated masterclass in the main tent at 12pm with some very special drams.
Early access to snap up a new and exciting bottling (more info coming soon)
Complimentary Tour, bookable in advance.
Nosing glass for the day's tasting.

Cask Samples and Entry
As ever, Cask Samples (if requested) will be available to collect on the day. But if you can’t make it, don’t worry, we’ll send these out to you via DPD. You can order your cask samples on the RSVP page. Samples must be ordered by the lead name on the cask to avoid confusion. Deadline: 20.06.25

Entry
The Cask Owner invite is for two people per cask. This ensures that the Cask Owner part of the day can stay small and intimate enough to be really special. It means we can pour lots of samples and really give you a great 'behind the scenes' experience! If more than two people connected to your cask would like to attend, additional tickets are available to purchase for a small fee. Special Release
Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2025
The star of the show... Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2025, our annual Special Release, will be ready and launching on the day alongside another very special bottling. More information about both whiskies coming soon.
the hub
The Marquee
Home to the bar and the stage, the main marquee will be the hub of the day. Full of live music, "conversations with" and possibly a couple of tastings too.
Rolling
Tours
Every thirty minutes, Tours will head around the distillery, showcasing the hows, whys and whats of Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery and Filey Bay Whisky. These are free for everyone (though no under 6s we're afraid).
Local
Producers & Craftspeople
Alongside the Masterclass, local producers will be at the distillery, sharing their stories and offering samples, as well as selling produce & products for you to take home.
Food &
Drink
We'll have lunch for sale on-site and, of course, the Wold Top Brewery van serving a range of beers (including the delicious low alcohol 'Intuition'). The Pot Still Coffee Shop will be open for coffee, tea and cake, and there'll be plenty of whisky to enjoy.

Note
Cask Samples: If you request more than 2 Cask Samples on the RSVP form, we will contact you to double check. Additional cask sample requests require a small fee.
Dogs: whilst we love Dogs, this year we'll be operating a no-dogs policy (other than assistance and support dogs) on the distillery site, both inside and outside.
Children: Children are very welcome to our Open Weekend and we love inspiring the next generation of farmers, distillers and fans! However we regret that under-6s cannot come on the tour inside the still house. This includes babes-in-arms. If you will be bringing under 18s with you, please RSVP for the adults and drop us an email about the children so we'll know who to expect.
