Growing: Back British Farming Day
This year marks the 9th year of the NFU’s Back British Farming Day, a day all about celebrating the farming sector.
As always we’re delighted to be chatting all about farming. Especially as we’re currently shortlisted for the Farmers Weekly Awards 2024, with a big awards do in London on 3rd October (wish us luck).
Back British Farming Day is an opportunity to celebrate British farming values and highlight the importance of agriculture to our rural communities and wider society.
Agriculture is the backbone of the UK and the farm is the backbone of everything we do here at Spirit of Yorkshire and The Wold Top Brewery. It’s our reason for being and (one of the things) that makes us special.
Don’t believe all the headlines you read about farming needing saving, There are thousands of farmers in the UK working in ways that are progressive, sustainable and which balance the environment and soil health, with food production too… it’s not one or the other!
On our social media channels over the next few posts, we’ll be talking through the way we farm regeneratively, and the results we’ve seen from this.
