Enjoying: A look back at 2024

We’re back and ready to for 2025, but first let’s take a look back at 2024…

We started the year with the release of Filey Bay STR Finish Batch #4 which went on to win a gold medal at the IWSC. This was followed by three special releases: Porter Cask, Yorkshire Day 2024, and Sherry Cask Reserve #5. The year was made extra special with single cask releases with Cadenheads, Harvey Nichols, and The Whisky Exchange – some truly exclusive drops!

But the Filey Bay story didn’t stop there. Across the pond, Filey Bay Peated Finish was nominated for “Best Whisky of the Year” in Switzerland – a huge honor! And after a short time on sale Filey Bay Flagship quickly became the number one English single malt in Sweden. Filey Bay whisky continued its journey to new destinations with availability in Netherlands and Japan.

At the distillery we were recognised with a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice award and a Visit England Visitor Attraction award. And the doors were always open, welcoming more visitors than ever before for tours, tastings, our annual Open Day, and a warm welcome at The Pot Still Coffee Shop.

On the farm, we made the finals of the British Farming Awards and the Farmers Weekly Awards and continued to farm in ways that are progressive, sustainable and which balance the environment and soil health.
