We’re proud to introduce Filey Bay Nurture, the first release of our Regenerative Editions. More than just a whisky, Nurture a nod to our commitment to farming for the future. It’s a story of land, legacy, and the deep connection between what we grow and what we create.

Farming for Whisky – The Regenerative Way

Long before the barley reaches our stills, the journey begins in the fields of our family farm. Regenerative farming sits at the heart of this whisky,a n approach that prioritises soil health, biodiversity, water conservation and minimal disturbance to the land. It’s a way of farming that gives back more than it takes, protecting the landscape for generations to come.

Tom Mellor, Spirit of Yorkshire co-founder and third-generation farmer:

“Farming is about achieving a balance. If we take out more than we put back in, future generations will pay the price.”

It’s whisky with a purpose, made with 100% homegrown barley and farm-sourced water, distilled and matured just a few miles from where the barley was grown. Every drop is a celebration of place and provenance, truly traceable from field to bottle.

• A Filey Bay First  – The Regenerative Editions will each explore a different theme in our farming philosophy. Nurture focuses on the soil and the biodiversity that keeps it alive.

• Truly Delicious – Soft, Fruity and Down to Earth A marriage of ex-bourbon and ex-red wine casks. Tasting notes: Bright, fresh and fruity, with flavours of iced buns, biscuit, red and black fruit gums, baked apples and vanilla ice cream. 46.5% | 70cl | £60 Natural Colour | Non Chill Filtered.
